Exciting News! Arcade Creation Club will be meeting on Tuesday, June 15 at 7:00 p.m. at a NEW location! The meeting will be at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 1615 Morse Avenue, in Sacramento. Please find directions below and a map link.

Murray Lewis, President of “Love Them Both Ministries", an organization to provide care and housing for pregnant mothers who desire to keep their babies rather than abort them, will be speaking to us regarding how “fearfully and wonderfully made” is God’s creation of man in His image.

Come and see the Answers In Genesis DVD presented by Ken Ham, “Did God Create In 6 Literal Days?” giving reasons why rejecting the days of creation as ordinary days undermines the authority of Scripture. “The Star of Bethlehem”

June 16 - Creation Club Meeting

Our very own Gary Eastman, who is a science teacher, will be presenting Day One of Creation Week from the Book of Genesis. He will include the audience in his experiments to illustrate God's wonderful work of Creation. More importantly, we emphasize the importance of Creation to Jesus Christ our Creator and God's salvation message.

Refreshments will be served following the meeting.

The Apollo 8 Christmas Eve Broadcast:

Apollo 8, the first manned mission to the Moon, entered lunar orbit on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1968. That evening, the astronauts; Commander Frank Borman, Command Module Pilot Jim Lovell, and Lunar Module Pilot William Anders did a live television broadcast from lunar orbit, in which they showed pictures of the Earth and Moon seen from Apollo 8. Lovell said, "The vast loneliness is awe-inspiring and it makes you realize just what you have back there on Earth." They ended the broadcast with the crew taking turns reading from the book of Genesis.
William Anders:
"For all the people on Earth the crew of Apollo 8 has a message we would like to send you".
"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness."
Jim Lovell:
"And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day."
Frank Borman:
"And God said, Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good." Borman then added, "And from the crew of Apollo 8, we close with good night, good luck, a Merry Christmas, and God bless all of you - all of you on the good Earth."

Gary volunteered (we volunteered him) to pilot the Party Cruiser that we rented to cruise the lake. He really does look like he is enjoying it. He also showed his expertise (with a little help) in docking the boat perfectly. We were told that even the professionals have difficulty doing that because the water levels were so low and there were exposed cables in the water that he had to navigate through safely.

We had the distinct honor and privilege to hear Researcher and Educator, Patrice Capps, tell us about what this research study revealed about the Geologic Time Chart.

We found large, unusual fossils which some say are horn coral, but we need to do further investigation.

On a recent trip to Grace Baptist Church in Redding to talk to Pastor Franklin regarding his church’s fossil digs, we took pictures of his fossil display case in the lobby of fossils his church has recovered from the Shasta area. We thought you might like to see a few of them.

The Arcade Creation Club will now meet on the third Tuesday of every month. Therefore, on Tuesday, March 20, the Arcade Creation Club will meet in Room 509 at 7:00 p.m. We will be showing a portion of “Did a Good God Make Bad Bugs?” by John Mackay. We will also be discussing his possible visit soon here at Arcade as well as other special speakers. Refreshments will be served following the meeting.
